日本建築の美しさ
戦前に建てられた木造平屋の多田邸は、時代に合わせながら改修され、伝統的な日本建築の様式と、現代建築の様式が混ざり合った建物となっています。敷地内に、本館、はなれ、３つの庭が。全体で約180坪（600 ㎡）のお屋敷です。
土佐漆喰の外壁や、風雨を凌ぐために施された伝統の右瓦・左瓦が見られ、室内には、書院造りの座敷と庭を一望できる広縁、青と黒が印象的な漆喰壁などが残ります。風情ある古民家で、のんびりとお過ごしください。
The beauty of Japanese architecture
The one-story wooden Tada House, built before the war, has been renovated to match the times, and is a mixture of traditional Japanese architectural styles and modern architectural styles. There is a main building, a detachment, and three gardens on the site. It is a mansion of about 180 tsubo (600 ㎡) in total.
You can see the Tosa plaster exterior walls and the traditional right and left tiles that were applied to protect against the wind and rain. The interior has a shoin-style tatami room, a wide edge overlooking the garden, and an impressive blue and black plaster wall. Please spend a relaxing time in a tasteful old private house.
多田家について
多田家は、高知県東部の近代産業の発展の歴史に深く関わられてきた一族。
始まりは、江戸時代の室戸の椎名から。多田嘉七氏、息子の耕太郎氏は、定置網漁を普及させ、室戸の漁業振興に深く関わった方々と聞きます。その耕太郎氏が、明治期に安芸市にできた高知県初の機械製糸工場・並村製糸工場の経営を引き受け、安芸の地に移り住みました。
耕太郎氏の息子、健二郎氏と妻・浪氏の住まいとして昭和12年に建てられたのが宿となった邸宅です。
邸宅の対面、江ノ川を挟んだ先にある祇園通りはかつて花街で、その料亭に、健二郎氏はよく出かけていたといいます。浪氏はいつも着物を着ている美しい人だったと近隣の方は声を揃えます。2人のご息女が、ここで琴や英語の教室を開き、大人から子どもまで、長年、地元の人が集っていたそうです。
数年空き家になっていたこの邸宅を、さまざまなご縁が重なりお借りすることができました。 昔から、地域のコミュニティの場であった多田邸の役割をそのまま引き継ぎ、旅人と地元の人が集い、交流し、新しいものごとが生まれるきっかけの場として育てていきたいと思っています。
About the Tada family
A house where you can experience the history of eastern Kochi Prefecture.
The Tada family has been deeply involved in the history of the development of modern industry in eastern Kochi Prefecture.
It all started with Shiina in Muroto in the Edo period. Mr. Yoshichi Tada and his son Kotaro are people who popularized set net fishing and were deeply involved in the promotion of fisheries in Muroto. Mr. Kotaro took over the management of the Namimura Silk Factory, the first mechanical silk factory in Kochi Prefecture, which was established in Aki City in the Meiji era, and moved to Aki.
The house was built in the 12th year of Showa as the residence of Kotaro’s son,Kenjiro, and his wife, Nami.Gion-dori, across the Enokawa River, used to be called Hanamachi, and it is said that Kenjiro often went out to the restaurant. Neighbors agree that Nami was a beautiful person who always wore a kimono. Two young women held koto and English classes here, and locals, from adults to children, gathered here for many years.
We were able to rent this mansion, which had been vacant for several years, due to various connections. We would like to continue the role of Tada House, which has long been a place for the local community, and nurture it as a place where travelers and locals gather, interact, and create new things.

安芸市生まれの私にとって、高知県東部は地元であり、これまでにたくさんの魅力的なヒトモノコトに出会ってきた地です。
そんな大好きな東部を、東風ノ家を拠点に、ディープに楽しんでいただくご提案をさせていただきます。
宿泊だけで完結せず、街に出かけ、商店街での食事や買物、地域のアクティビティに参加し、街の日常に触れていただきたい。山川海の自然の力を感じてほしい。そこでの体験や、地域の人との交流が、心に残る思い出になれば嬉しいです。
安芸から、高知県東部、さらには四国の東回りの旅を紹介できるよう努めさせていただきます。
I am Azumi Sento, the host.
As a native of Aki City, the eastern part of Kochi Prefecture is my hometown and I have met many fascinating people here. We would like to propose that you can enjoy such a favorite eastern part deeply, based on Kochi no Ya.
We would like you to go out into the city, eat and shop in the shopping street, participate in local activities, and experience the daily life of the city, rather than just staying overnight. I want you to feel the power of nature in the mountains, rivers, and seas.
I hope that your experience there and your interactions with the local people will be a nice memory. From Aki, we will introduce you to the eastern part of Kochi Prefecture and Shikoku.
